ReCODE 2.0 Certified Health Coach
Why I Do This Work
My mission is deeply personal.
I watched both my father and grandfather suffer from neurodegenerative disease. I saw firsthand what cognitive decline takes away—not just from the individual, but from the entire family. And I made a decision: that would not be my future.
That decision set me on a path of intense learning and transformation.
I immersed myself in the science of chronic illness and cognitive health, becoming certified through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and the ReCODE 2.0 program. But more importantly, I applied everything to my own life—proving that it’s possible to protect and even improve brain and body function as we age.
Today, I work with clients who are ready to take control of their health—whether they want to prevent decline, reverse chronic symptoms, or simply feel strong, clear, and energized again.
I don’t just teach this work—I live it every day.
And there is nothing more meaningful to me than helping someone reclaim their health, their clarity, and their future.
My Personal Story
At 71 years old, I’m still backpacking deep into the mountains, riding 20 miles on my mountain bike, running 4 miles, swimming a mile, and knocking out 20 consecutive pull-ups. I take no prescription medications, have no chronic illness, and feel decades younger than my age.
This didn’t happen by accident.
It’s the result of intentionally applying the principles of Functional Medicine—dialing in nutrition, movement, sleep, and recovery, while staying deeply connected to purpose, community, and the natural world. I’ve spent decades refining what actually works, not just in theory, but in real life.
I haven’t been sick in over 40 years and I attribute that to a disciplined lifestyle that includes intermittent fasting, clean nutrition, and daily habits that support resilience at the cellular level. This isn’t about restriction—it’s about creating a body that thrives.
I grew up in Hawaii immersed in the ocean—surfing, diving, and exploring the outdoors. That connection to nature still grounds me today. After a 40-year career as a high-level engineer, I chose not to slow down in retirement—but to double down on living fully and helping others do the same.
